I used the campsite. The service was very polite and pleasant. I was surprised to see that the outdoor toilets at the campsite had washlets. They may not be new, but they were clean and women felt safe there.

The next day, we had an event? So we camped at the ground, not at the place we were supposed to camp at. The ground was not hard enough to insert the pegs without a hammer, but if it got wet from rain, the pegs would come out even with your hands. At night, there were a few lights from houses, but it was almost pitch black enough to see the stars beautifully. There was a road on the top of the hill, and there was a fair amount of traffic during the day, but at night there was almost no traffic and it was very quiet. The town announcements that were broadcast in the morning and evening were a nice touch (lol). The receptionist was kind, and I was told that I could use the shower in the old school building? if I was there. Next time, I'll stay at the original camping spot. However, the Oku-Yahagi Lake side is a pretty mountain pass, so if you don't mind taking a detour, it would be easier to drive from the Inabu side.

I was looking for a place with a beautiful starry sky within cycling distance and used this site. As I had hoped, there was no interference from street lights and I was fortunate to be blessed with good weather, allowing me to enjoy the starry sky. The staff were also very helpful, and even though I was alone, they arranged for me to use the shower, which was very helpful. This time I went completely solo and it was a little scary, but the fees were very reasonable and it seemed possible to stay in the main building or use a bungalow, so I would consider going with a friend.

We used it for camping. It's a facility that uses an abandoned school building I wondered what it would be like. The staff at reception were friendly and we could take a bath It was pretty hot during the day at this time of year (・・;) Being able to use the bath was very helpful. The regular chimes and the dam release siren were cute... But hey, it is a school. I'd like to use it again at a different time of year. It might also be possible to stay overnight in the classrooms of the school building.

The Oku-Yahagi Recreation Center is not a for-profit lodging company, so if you go there expecting to be treated like a Japanese inn or hotel, you may be disappointed. I did not have such expectations, and I thought the facility would be like this based on the information I received at the time of application, so I guess it was as I had expected when I actually stayed there. I think they took care of me by providing a warm dinner and taking the time to make a reservation for the bath. The dinner was freshly prepared and warm, but I felt that there was a bias toward meat-based dishes. I think it was partly due to the budget, but I would have liked a little more vegetables. I also wanted a heater because it was the middle of November. I also wanted blankets for my bedding. I had no choice but to leave the heater on.
