The staff were very friendly, the view was great from the lakeside site, and at night there were no lights around, so the starry sky was great. However, we had some boats fishing on the lake casting lures at the site, and some old hikers came into the site without permission, so it was an uneasy camping experience.

It was my first time using it. The site itself was not that big, and it was almost full when we set up the DOD one-pole tent L size and the tarp. On the other hand, the kids seemed to like this hideaway? secret base? feeling (^^) The parking spaces were far apart, so we didn't have to face each other, and it felt very private. I was worried about the parking lot, "Hmm? Is this... okay?", but later an attendant came round and said, "You can park in the unused B lot!", so we parked there. The bath is also within a 10-minute walk from the public guesthouse, and you can use the large public bath for 550 yen for adults. Most campsites have coin showers, so it was very nice to be able to soak in the bathtub. It was forecast to rain the next day, so I asked if there was a late check-out, thinking that it would be hectic to check out at 11:00, and they said that we could use it until 4:00 if we paid the day camp fee, so we did. Maybe they have a similar system in the mornings too? The toilets don't have washlets, but they were very clean and I was able to use them comfortably. There is no hot water in the kitchen. Next time I use them, I think I'll try booking a lakeside site. It's mid-October, so the leaves are starting to change color and it was quite cold at night, so it's important to dress warmly. I stayed at a lakeside site. The temperature was 33°C near Kasugai City, but when I arrived it was 26°C! It was cool because of the high altitude. The lakeside site has a tarp in the middle, so you can probably set up 4-5 solo tents. I'd like to use it again.

The lights in the bathroom didn't work, which was a problem at night. I think it would be better if they could provide a motion sensor or something to deal with this. Also, the water in the bathroom didn't come out. I hope this can be improved.

It's been a while since I last visited. As expected, it's great to be able to have an open fire. While there are an increasing number of stylish and well-equipped campsites, I am very satisfied with this peaceful campsite with a Showa-era feel. Since the site was on the lakeside, I used the toilet opposite the management building, but I think the women would rate it highly if the toilets were a little cleaner. In the past, I would take a bath at Ena Sanso after checking out, but this time I was told that it doesn't open until 2pm, so I gave up. I wish they would at least allow me to use the bath the next morning if I make a reservation.

There are showers available 24 hours a day, but the baths are open until 8 p.m., so it would be nice if they could be open a little later so that we could relax. I'm satisfied with the site I rented this time. Next time I'd like to rent a site with a lake view.

This is my second time using this site. The worn-out areas on the path from the last time I visited have been filled with gravel and other materials, so I was able to drive my car smoothly to the base site. Thank you. This time, the site was surrounded by trees on the north side, so it was comfortable even under the scorching sun of midsummer. The site was also surrounded at night, so it felt private and I was very satisfied. However, I saw people using the large site in front of the lakeside making a lot of noise while setting off fireworks at night, which was a bit disappointing as it seemed to spoil the quiet atmosphere. Although the site allows open fires, the area where the fires were made was well organized and the tent pitching area was well managed, so it was very comfortable. I plan to return when the seasons change.

The water pump was stopped so we couldn't use it, but the staff brought us water in plastic containers, so we didn't feel bad and enjoyed ourselves. There was a typhoon so we got caught in a sudden shower, but it was cool and comfortable at night. The stars looked really beautiful.

My family and I stayed at two sites from August 11th to 13th. We stayed here quite some time ago, but it's a campsite I love because it's surrounded by trees and full of nature. We came from the scorching heat of Nagoya, but the temperature was about 5 or 6 degrees lower, so it was cool in the shade and very pleasant. There is a water source, toilets, and the bare minimum, and although it has a wild feel to it, this is actually what makes it so charming. There was an accident where the water pump broke and no water came out, but I am truly grateful for the sincere response from the staff. The autumn feel is also lovely, so we will continue to use it in the future. Thank you very much.

We stayed at Lake Hokonoko Auto Campsite from August 12th to 13th. We had stayed here before, and as it is one of the few campsites that allows open fires, we stayed here again this time. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they were flexible in helping us out when we didn't understand something or had a problem. The site was surrounded by nature, and we were able to experience the charm of the mountains in a way that we can't experience in our everyday lives. We would like to stay here again next year.
