This was our second time staying here as a family, and we stayed in a trailer house. Last time we stayed in a 7-person unit, and this time we stayed in a 6-person unit. The 6-person unit had a sturdier sink, and personally, I found it more convenient to use. We were lucky with the weather both times, but in mid-May, it was a bit chilly in the mornings and evenings, so it’s a good idea to bring a hoodie or something similar to throw on when barbecuing. On the other hand, during our stay in late July, while it was hot during the day, the mornings and evenings were very pleasant, and we were comfortable in short sleeves. In either case, the units are fully equipped with air conditioning, so the interior remains comfortable. Our children are still young, and we’re not exactly seasoned outdoor enthusiasts. I felt this facility is especially recommended for families who want to enjoy nature but find preparing camping gear a hassle. The playground features swings and a rocking horse, providing a great environment for kids to play freely. The convenience store is open until 8:00 PM, and it’s reassuring to know they carry all the essentials. This time, we forgot to bring oil for the barbecue, but we were able to buy some at the store, which was a huge help. Being able to buy ice cream at the Center House after a bath was a big hit with the kids—I didn’t expect a campground to offer such treats. The female staff member at the store had a wonderful smile. Although we didn’t stay overnight this time, there is one washing machine and one dryer available, which is reassuring in case of an emergency. A word of caution for those traveling with young children: things can get hectic with unpacking, preparing the barbecue, and taking baths, and the sense of security inside the cabin can lead you to inadvertently take your eyes off them. Be aware that the kitchen’s built-in knife is located right inside the storage cabinet, and the windows on the second floor of the trailer house can be opened easily just by lowering the latch. Especially if you’re not used to the outdoors, things tend to get hectic—unlike a hotel stay—so I think families with young children will feel more at ease if they keep these points in mind. Putting those precautions aside, the friendly and helpful staff, the beautiful views of Lake Momiji and the surrounding mountains, the star-filled sky on clear nights, the fireworks you can enjoy in the plaza (available for purchase at the concession stand, and buckets are provided for free), and the bath facilities available with a same-day reservation at check-in—all of these aspects contributed to a very satisfying and, overall, wonderful stay. It was a wonderful, very well-maintained campground. I stayed there because I wanted to combine fishing and camping, and it was exactly what I’d hoped for—with a lake right in front of my site, I could go fishing whenever I felt like it, so I was very satisfied. This was our second visit this month.　We were told that the site was almost full on the day of our visit, but the site we were shown was in a nice spot, and we were able to enjoy a quiet and relaxing time without worrying about other sites. We wanted to come before the rainy season started, so we were glad the weather was good. We will come back again!

I had been using the site on weekdays, but this was my first time going solo on a Saturday or Sunday. I was told that the campground was almost full, but I didn't mind too much because each of the wooded sites are a little further apart and on different levels. The staff is always pleasant and the campground is very well maintained. They also had a kayaking class? They also had a kayaking class, which looked like fun.

This was our first time using this site. The site is large and in a nice location in front of the lake. The restrooms, showers, cooking facilities, etc. are not new, but they are well cleaned and clean. The manner of the guests around us was very nice, and it was really quiet and relaxing and quiet at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would definitely repeat my stay. ☺️

I think it is fine not to indicate whether or not a site has a power source when making a reservation, because it can be changed to a site with a power source on the spot.
