At Site A3 of the campground, I heard a beeping electronic sound all day long. It didn’t bother me during the day, but it echoed at night and kept me awake, so I’d like to see this fixed. I’m sorry if this isn’t a problem with the campground’s facilities, but I couldn’t figure out where the sound was coming from—it wasn’t from other campers’ cars or anything like that.

This was my first time staying here for a solo camping trip. Set among the trees, I was able to relax and enjoy a quiet time without worrying about my surroundings. The bath was cozy, and I had a comfortable soak—I was very satisfied. Next time, I’d like to try a different campsite.

This was my first time staying at Area C of Hoko Lake Campground for one night and two days. Unfortunately, it rained, but the quiet site, surrounded by trees, allowed me to relax while listening to the sound of the rain, and I woke up to the sound of birds singing in the morning—it was a wonderful time. I’d like to go back on a sunny day next time. Depending on the site, it looks like you might even be able to see the stars.

I stayed at A6-AC, but the sites were so close together that it felt like a group camping trip. It’s a good idea to bring a tarp or something similar to create some privacy. The wash areas and restrooms were kept clean.

A friend and I were planning to visit on different dates—one at the campsite and the other bringing our own SUP—but the day before, we received a call informing us that our reservation had been changed to a site more suitable for SUP use. They were very courteous in their response. This was my second time staying there, and since they’re always so courteous, I’d love to go back again.

Maybe because it was a weekday with miraculously clear weather in the middle of the rainy season, I was the only one at the lakeside campsite. Partly because of that, the sense of oneness with nature was incredible. Spending time gazing out at the lake was the ultimate luxury. Even though there’s an extra charge, I really appreciated being able to check in at 10 a.m. If I had to name one downside, it would be that the restroom is a bit far away. The baths are located inside the National Guest House at the front desk. Well, they were neither great nor bad.

This time, we pitched our tent at a wooded campsite at Hoko Lake Campground. (We were able to park our car right next to the site.) Under the shade of the trees, we were able to stay cool even in the midsummer sun. We were hit by a torrential downpour in the middle of the night, but thanks to the good drainage, the site didn’t flood and we were able to sleep soundly. The wash areas and restrooms (equipped with bidets) were clean and well-maintained, making them a pleasure to use. We went to the Ena Sanso bathhouse, but since there was a steep hill, we decided it would be a bit too difficult to walk, so we drove there instead.
Thank you very much for staying with us. We’re so glad you were able to stay cool in the shade of the trees at our wooded campsite, even in the height of summer. We were relieved to hear that you were able to stay dry and comfortable despite the heavy rain in the middle of the night. Thank you also for your kind words about the wash areas and restrooms. We’re delighted that you found them pleasant to use. Since there is a slight incline leading to the baths at Ena Sanso, we recommend traveling by car for your convenience.
