The rooms were clean and nice. There was no running water or toilet, and it was inconvenient to go to the administration building. Also, the distance from the room to the fire pit made us feel isolated. The caretaker does all the lighting of the campfires, etc., so it would have been nice if we could have done it ourselves. On the one hand, it is well managed, which is good, but on the other hand, it felt very cramped for those of us who have camping experience.
Thank you for visiting Hoko.Glamping. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced as all the water facilities are located in the administration building. We will improve our website to more clearly state that there are no running water facilities in the rooms. Also, since glamping is a "casual camping experience," our staff will light bonfires for those who have never done so before, but it would be nice to say a few words to them when you light them! We also have an auto-camping site with an open fire OK, called "Lake Bokonoko Campsite," which is attached to our facility, so we look forward to welcoming you to that facility as well.
