The campground itself was nice, with clean restrooms. We camped in the wooded area, but a dog at a nearby site kept barking and it was noisy. The public bath was expensive.

It was a shame it rained, but we still had a great time camping. The groups at the BBQ area and the glamping site were a little noisy, but things quieted down before 9:00 p.m., so we were able to enjoy the rest of the evening.

This time, we pitched our tent at a wooded campsite at Hoko Lake Campground. (We were able to park our car right next to the site.) Under the shade of the trees, we were able to stay cool even in the midsummer sun. We were hit by a torrential downpour in the middle of the night, but thanks to the good drainage, the site didn’t flood and we were able to sleep soundly. The wash areas and restrooms (equipped with bidets) were clean and well-maintained, making them a pleasure to use. We went to the Ena Sanso bathhouse, but since there was a steep hill, we decided it would be a bit too difficult to walk, so we drove there instead.

At Site A3 of the campground, I heard a beeping electronic sound all day long. It didn’t bother me during the day, but it echoed at night and kept me awake, so I’d like to see this fixed. I’m sorry if this isn’t a problem with the campground’s facilities, but I couldn’t figure out where the sound was coming from—it wasn’t from other campers’ cars or anything like that.

This was my first time staying here for a solo camping trip. Set among the trees, I was able to relax and enjoy a quiet time without worrying about my surroundings. The bath was cozy, and I had a comfortable soak—I was very satisfied. Next time, I’d like to try a different campsite.

This was my first time staying at Area C of Hoko Lake Campground for one night and two days. Unfortunately, it rained, but the quiet site, surrounded by trees, allowed me to relax while listening to the sound of the rain, and I woke up to the sound of birds singing in the morning—it was a wonderful time. I’d like to go back on a sunny day next time. Depending on the site, it looks like you might even be able to see the stars.

Campground visit. I wanted to use the bath, but the front desk was unstaffed, so there was a sign telling me to ask the dining hall staff. When I went to ask, they responded, “What is it?” in a confrontational manner, as if I’d gone to the wrong counter. They didn’t know how to use the register, rang up two people’s worth of items even though I’d said it was for one person, and claimed they couldn’t correct it because they didn’t know how. There was someone there who really shouldn’t be working in customer service. This is getting long, so I’ll cut it short. It’s a shame because the campground itself is really nice.

Although we greatly appreciate your kind words about the campground, we sincerely apologize for the discomfort caused by our staff’s conduct during your visit to the bathhouse.
